It's likely that most Americans would swear that free choice is involved in voting for any of the candidates. Not Michael Moore, who says voting for Hillary is verboten.
"I am morally prohibited from voting for Hillary in the primaries because of her war votes, I mean that not as a personal attack against her, but I simply can't side with somebody who participated, whether willingly or unknowingly, as she claims, in something that has been so evil." (
Huffington Post article here)
What if people on a strict diet were prohibited from eating anything that obstructed their progress? What if a smoker weren't allowed to make the choice to predispose herself/himself to disease because all cigarettes were removed from shelves? What if that basic American freedom, channel surfing, were taken away? On the scales, how do you balance taking a moral stand versus exercising free choice?
It's different with a moral imperative; women and men of principle might on occasion believe they have no choice.
Michael Moore knows his non-negotiables: Hillary's war votes.
In this election, do you know yours?
