Hillary Clinton complained about NAFTA frequently when she spoke to Ohio voters. Her insistent statements opposing NAFTA played a strong role in the Ohio primary election.

With the Pennsylvania primary approaching, and its similar demographics to Ohio, this could be a problem for Clinton: How to reconcile her strong protest that she was never in favor of NAFTA, with comments made yesterday by Teamsters General President James Hoffa.

"Sen. Clinton has a credibility problem with the working men and women across this country on the issue of trade," Hoffa said in a conference call with reporters.

"NAFTA never would have passed but for a Democrat pushing it, and that was Bill Clinton."

While Clinton says she was opposed to NAFTA, Hoffa offers a different view.

"In March '99, I became President of the Teamsters. I remember demonstrating against NAFTA and that the Clintons were for it," Hoffa stated.

Please note the use of the plural "Clintons."
