Obama is leading Clinton 45-43 in Pennsylvania, in a poll taken this weekend, through yesterday, by Public Policy Polling.

PPP President Dean Debnam happens to be in England today.  When I spoke to him a few minutes ago he told me, "PPP has yet to call a Democratic Primary on the wrong side this year." He added, "We had the most accurate polling info in Ohio and Texas combined, in Wisconsin, and in S. Carolina."

This poll involved a huge sample. The normal polling sample is 400; this poll sampled 2300 people.

I pressed Debnam on his preferred candidate. He preferred Edwards. Asked whom he prefers between Clinton and Obama, Debnam replied, "I want the most electable Democrat."

“In the last few weeks there has been increasing attention given to the fact that a continuing divisive Democratic nomination fight could hurt the party’s chances of defeating John McCain this fall,” Debnam added. “The major movement in Obama’s direction in Pennsylvania could be an indication that Democrats in that state think it’s time to wrap it up.”

The PPP poll found that 5% of Pennsylvania voters are truly undecided, giving undecided voters the ability to decide the winner in tomorrow's primary.

The survey’s margin of errors is +/- 2.8%. Other factors, such as refusal to be interviewed and weighting, may introduce additional error that is more difficult to quantify. Complete poll results here
