Did you see Obama on Fox News?

Sen. Barack Obama was on Fox News Sunday.  Have you seen it?

If you didn't, or perhaps if you did, you might enjoy reading the NY Times report on the interview.  Obama held his own, and even got compliments.  From Fox!

Oddly, there is no video of the Obama interview on the Fox News website.  Fox was so eager to interview Obama that Chris Wallace had a running clock counting the days since Obama promised to appear on his show.  The Fox website even had a big news story saying Obama would appear.

So where's the video?

You'd expect Fox News to have a video of their own TV show.  They definitely have a lot of other videos on the Fox News website, but I wasn't able to find the video of the Obama interview there.

If you find a video of the Obama interview on the Fox News website, would you please send me the URL?  Please send your name, too, so I can credit you for finding it.  Meanwhile, I finally did find it on YouTube.

I just watched the interview

I just watched the interview on youtube. I actually liked it and thought it was quite good. Barack handled it quite well. The interviewer while obviously trying to bait him some was not unreasonable in his questions and gave Barack reasonable space to answer. If they played that whole interview on FOX News 24 hours a day for the next week, I would bet it would help him in Indiana and Pennsylvania would have buyer's remorse. He came off looking very reasonable and "safe". -Craig

Fox News Interview

You probably won't find the video because they don't want it spread around. Barack was on message and affective

Actually sort of fair and balanced, for a change

I usually have difficulty watching Fixed News Sunday because Chris Wallace usually sports a smirk that I find even more annoying than Bush's smirk (hard to imagine, I know), but somehow Sunday he managed to keep it in check. The latest criticism of Obama's appearance is that he didn't attack Fox News for their slanted coverage of his campaign. Apparently a "senior Obama advisor" (who was not named, almost always a bad sign) had said last week that Obama would be on the attack, and now some bloggers are being critical because he wasn't. Bullfrogs! The press have been all over Obama the past few weeks. The last thing he needs to do right now is antagonize them further. Yes, I know I'm indirectly referring to Fox as "the press," and I apologize for that, but a lot of people in this country consider them a reputable source of journalism. Sad, true, but in the long run Obama is wise to not torch them just yet. His calm demeanor and rationed tones can serve to convince independent voters and yes, maybe even some conservatives who dislike McInsane and are looking for a new message. I say, well done Barack! Wallace invited him back, but please, not anytime soon. There's only so much Fixed News I can handle at one time. :)

I forgot to claim authorship of the previous post
