California superdelegate Kamil Hasan, DNC member, endorses Barack Obama


"His election as the President of the United States will not only help unite a very divided nation, but elevate the image of the United States in the world to a level not seen since John Kennedy was the President," said Hasan.

District of Columbia superdelegate, and DNC member, Ben Johnson endorsed Barack Obama.

“It’s time to close ranks behind Barack Obama, who has run an outstanding campaign and made many of us proud," said Johnson.

Florida superdelegate and DNC Member Diane Glasser endorsed Barack Obama.

Glasser said, “It is time for our Party and our country to come together and reach closure in this process."

Congresswoman Maxine Waters, (D-CA) Endorses Barack Obama

“On issue after issue, from ending the disastrous war in Iraq, to addressing the housing crisis to making healthcare affordable for every working family, Barack Obama offers bold leadership that will put our nation back on the right path after the eight years of failed policies of George W. Bush."

Waters is House Deputy Whip. She is in her ninth term in Congress.

Three Delaware Superdelegates Endorse Barack Obama

Delaware Secretary of State Harriet Windsor, Delaware Democratic Chair John Daniello, and DNC Member Rhett Ruggerio, all superdelegates, are supporting Obama for President.

"Senator Obama is an outstanding candidate who will unify the Democratic Party and be a strong candidate to beat Senator McCain in the November election,” Secretary of State Harriet Windsor said.

“It’s time for Democrats to unite in taking on John McCain, and I'm pleased to be joined by Rhett Ruggerio and Secretary Windsor in endorsing Barack Obama for president,” Delaware Democratic Party Chair John Daniello said.

"Senator Obama has proven that he has the vision, the fortitude and the character to effect real change and lead us to victory in November,” DNC Member Rhett Ruggerio said.
