Sobering Note: 3974 Deaths in Iraq

March 20 is five years.  Dust from the statue falling, books from the library destroyed, priceless art from the museum, gone.

Five years.  John McCain, the Republican who would be President, is standing proud.  He'd do it all again, adding more red-blooded American soldiers.

Five years.  US Military Deaths in Iraq at 3, 974.

Read the statistics: (NY Times article here).

Or, please, take a look at our Hot Links: Honor American Soldiers!  It's in the column to your right, in Hot Links, the last Hot Link down.

I went with the New York Times figures, but it appears we're not below 4,000 anymore.  The military has it at over 4,000 American deaths in Iraq (Military Times article here).  Blood and Treasure:  The treasure cost:
(Mercury News article here).

Think of all we've learned, and had proven, about the war in Iraq, in the past five years.

If you're inclined, say a little prayer.
